How did we end up in California? Simple. Take a
trip to Buffalo,
add a mechanical problem in our aircraft
and a hurricane in Atlanta and you got a recipe for a bump. As a compensation for a bump we have got a voucher
for a free flight anywhere Airtran flies. We looked at the map and we quickly determined that the farthest place
Airtran can get us is San Francisco. My dad promptly booked the trip and we departed for California on
October 8, 2004.
Carmel, California. We visited a beach here the night we arrived in San Francisco. We had to come back the next day
because my mom and my grandma forgot the camera from the restaurant we had the dinner previous night. Fortunately
for us the camera was still there.
There is a place near Herst Castle where you can spot multiple seal colonies. When we pulled up to the parking lot
we have met this strange guy with even stranger car.
Down to L.A. We have visited Mr. Zaręba and his wife, Virginia in Moorpark, California.
Thank you for your hospitality!
Those sequoias are really big. I think they are even bigger than my dad!
We were driving to Kings Canyon and I repeatedly asked my mom to stop, because I am bored.
She did not listen to reason, so I had to start crying. Only then she would listen to me.
We stopped and I found a new game - placing stones in my potty.
The game of inserting stones into everything continues here, in Yosemite National Park.
This time it's bigger stones and my mom's walking shoe.
Hey, I don't like the sun shining into my face! I know, it is a beautiful Merced River,
in a beautiful Yosemite National Park but would you stop it? Please?
Here is an example of how I can get dirty in just one day. I am very talented.
Last day of our expedition brought us to San Francisco and Oakland. Here we visit Jack London's
Klondike house in Oakland. You do not need air conditioning in Klondike.
